NORTHPORT (M) Bhd, a member of MMC Group, has won the " Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Practitioner With Best Integrity "Special Award at the Integrity, Governance and Anti-corruption Awards (AIGA) 2023 event on Feb 29, 2024.
NORTHPORT (M) Bhd, a member of MMC Group, is committed to promoting human capital development by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Department of Skills Development (DSD) of the Human Resources Ministry (MOHR). The MOU documents were signed by Northport CEO Datuk Azman Shah Mohd Yusof and DG of Skills Development Ts Zuleah Darsong.
PORT of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between the MMC Group and APM Terminals, inked an agreement with Sany Marine Heavy Industry Co Ltd to procure six units of ultra-large container vessel (ULCV) quay cranes. The agreement was signed between PTP CEO Mark Hardiman and Sany Marine CEO Jeff Fu on Feb 23,2024.
GEORGE TOWN: Penang welcomed two renowned cruises Genting Dream and Royal Caribbean Spectrum Of The Seas which concurrently docked at the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal on Tuesday. Penang State Tourism and Creative Economy chairman Wong Hon Wai said Penang being situated strategically in the heart of Southeast Asia serves as an ideal port of call for cruise liners traversing the region.
ISKANDAR PUTERI: Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Group and APM Terminals, made another significant milestone with the successful completion of its first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering operation. The landmark event involved the CMA CGM Monaco, a 14,024 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) capacity containership operated by French shipping giant CMA CGM.
GELANG PATAH: Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Group and APM Terminals, secured another milestone when the terminal successfully set a new shift volume record with 13,725 quayside moves in a single 12-hour shift, breaking its own previous shift record of 13,700 moves set in 2023.

GEORGE TOWN: Penang recorded an increase in cruise tourism last year with the arrival of a total of 573,178 international tourists at the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT), after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country. State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai said this figure shows a significant increase, which is 30.56 per cent, compared to 439,012 international tourists in 2022.
PETALING JAYA: Northport (Malaysia) Bhd, a member of MMC Group, will partner with Kaleris to implement its Navis N4 Terminal Operating System starting this month to accelerate productivity, efficiency and green operations at the port.
SINGAPORE/KUALALUMPUR:Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) is in talks to buy up to a 49 per cent stake in MMC Port Holdings (MMC Ports) in a deal potentially valuing Malaysia’s biggest port operator at around RM30 billion, said two sources.
