Port of Tanjung Pelepas Carries Out First LNG Bunkering Operation

ISKANDAR PUTERI: Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Group and APM Terminals, made another significant milestone with the successful completion of its first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering operation. The landmark event involved the CMA CGM Monaco, a 14,024 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) capacity containership operated by French shipping giant CMA CGM.

Penang Records Rapid Increase in Cruise Tourism

GEORGE TOWN: Penang recorded an increase in cruise tourism last year with the arrival of a total of 573,178 international tourists at the Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal (SPCT), after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country. State Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai said this figure shows a significant increase, which is 30.56 per cent, compared to 439,012 international tourists in 2022.
