On 7 December 2021, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted His Excellency, Dr Joachim Bergström, Ambassador of Sweden to Malaysia and a delegation from the Swedish embassy for an inaugural working visit to PTP. 

With the priority to explore investment opportunities in the port-related and maritime industry especially in the state of Johor, His Excellency was welcomed by Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP and Prakash Thurairasasingam, Head of Commercial Division of PTP. During the visit, His Excellency was then given a comprehensive presentation by the PTP’s management to provide a better understanding of the port’s progress and its operational performance, as well as on its ongoing development and contribution of the port industry towards the nation’s economic sustainability.

This working visit was part of PTP’s stakeholders’ engagement programme throughout 2021 aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between PTP and Government agencies while at the same time to explore business and investment opportunities for both parties.
