Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, strengthened its commitment to promote the Company’s Halal initiative through its participation in the Selangor Entrepreneur Expo (SELBIZ 2022) and the 18^th Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2022).

SELBIZ 2022 was held on 3 and 4 September 2022 at the Shah Alam Convention Center (SACC). The two-day event was organised by the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and launched by the Selangor State Executive Councillor for Housing, Urban Well-being and Entrepreneur Development, Yang Berhormat Puan Rodziah Ismail.

MIHAS 2022 was held from 7 to 10 September 2022 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur. The event was officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. Northport participated in MIHAS 2022 under Selangor Pavilion, led by Halal International Selangor (HIS), an agency under the Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated).

Northport’s participations in these exhibitions were aimed at attracting business communities, especially the Halal industry players, exporters and importers to participate in its Halal Silk Route initiative, while at the same time demonstrating the Company’s support towards the Federal and State Government’s Halal trade initiatives.
