PTP WELCOMES JOHOR STATE DOSH DIRECTOR FOR SAFETY COLLABORATION
On 2 April 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, hosted a working visit by Jaafar Leman, Director of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Johor and his delegation.
Mark Hardiman, Chief Executive Officer of PTP along with the management team, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. This visit offered a valuable opportunity for DOSH to gain a deeper understanding of PTP’s rigorous safety practices and unwavering commitment to fostering a safe working environment and culture for its employees.
The delegation was provided with a tour of PTP’s facilities, which included an informative briefing on PTP, as well as a sharing of the port’s robust safety programmes. Through open discussions and knowledge exchange, both PTP and DOSH explored potential avenues for collaboration on crucial safety initiatives and strategic adaptations to enhance safety in PTP’s operations.
DOSH operates under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Human Resources, holding a vital role in administering and enforcing occupational safety and health legislation nationwide. With the vision to become a leading force in establishing a safe and healthy work culture for Malaysia, DOSH aims to elevate the quality of working life, thereby enriching the overall work experiences of employees throughout the nation.
