On 14 June 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group received a familiarisation visit from the new Commissioner Police Datuk Aidi bin Ismail, Bukit Aman​ Director of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department (JPJKK) and delegation.

The delegates were warmly welcomed by Khairul Amalin Abd Rahman, Head of Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Sustainability Division of PTP as well as other several members of PTP’s Management Team.

The visit began with an in-depth presentation on PTP’s business, operational performance, current and future development, as well as PTP’s role in safeguarding the security of the nation.

The delegation then proceeded for a comprehensive port tour where they visited PTP’s state-of-the-art CCTV Control Room, for an informative briefing on security matters before going on board an 80-tonne tugboat for a comprehensive Sungai Pulai tour.

This familiarisation visit was a significant part of the PTP and Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) stakeholder engagement programme that strategically aims to strengthen bilateral relations between both parties.
