On 28 June 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, received an inaugural visit from Andy Powell, Maersk’s Chief Information Security Officer and delegation.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP and several members of PTP Management Team.

The working visit began with an in-depth presentation on PTP’s business and operational performance, current and future development as well as PTP’s contribution towards Malaysia and the industry in general, especially from the perspective of digitalisation agenda.

The delegates then proceeded on a port tour, during which they visited the IT Smart Lab and the Central Planning & Performance Office (CPPO) for a briefing on the latest state-of-the-art Asset Digitalisation Programme. They concluded the visit with a comprehensive terminal tour to closely experience PTP’s operations.

This visit was part of a continuous stakeholder engagement programme between PTP and Maersk, aimed at strengthening bilateral relations while keeping updated on various digitalisation developments undertaken by PTP.
