Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between Malaysia’s MMC Corporation Berhad and Netherlands-based, APM Terminals, has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing its previous record and becoming the first container terminal in Malaysia to handle over 12.25 million Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit (TEUs) in a single year.

The 12 millionth TEU was recorded at about 7:00 p.m. on 23 December 2024, marking a defining moment in PTP’s history.
