The Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation (TLJCF) remains dedicated to supporting cancer patients and promoting cancer awareness through its yearly fundraising event. In pursuit of these objectives, TLJCF has organised its annual charity event, the “Laksamana Charity Run 2023” on 5 August 2023 at the Gateway Garden, Iskandar Puteri in Johor.

The event, which encourages both physical activity and philanthropy through an enjoyable experience, has received overwhelming support from over 5,000 participants and from more than 20 sponsors including operating companies under MMC Group such as Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), Johor Port Berhad, Malakoff Corporation Berhad, and Senai Airport City Sdn Bhd, who have demonstrated their support for the cause by making significant contributions to the event.

On behalf of MMC Group, Marco Neelsen, Chief Executive Officer of PTP, received a token of appreciation and certificate presented by Her Highness Tunku Tun Aminah Sultan Ibrahim.

The Laksamana Run 2023 was also attended by YB Mohd Hairi Bin Mad Shah, Johor State Exco for Youth, Sports, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Human Resources; YB Dato’ Haji Ismail Karim, Member of the TLJCF Board of Directors; YB Dato’ Haji Mohd Haffiz Bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of Iskandar Puteri City Council; Mohd Ikmal Izam Zaini, Chief Executive Officer of TLJCF and other Johor State dignitaries.

As a responsible corporate citizen, our organisation strives to raise cancer awareness and offer support to the cancer fighters and their families. The contribution plays a pivotal role in making a positive impact and providing hope in the battle against cancer.
