On 23 November 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) and Malakoff’s Tanjung Bin Power Plant (TBPP), members of MMC Group, successfully hosted national crisis drill training exercise code named EX TANJUNG JOHOR 2023, organizsd by Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (NADMA).

With the aim to test the disaster management preparedness by enforcement, emergency, and support agencies in dealing with any large-scale incident, approximately 33 agencies and more than 500 personnel were involved in this exercise. During the gruelling drill that went for five hours, the exercise simulated multiple crisis scenarios involving the surrounding land and channel areas.

After the successful handling of the situation, a closing ceremony was held at Berth 01 Area, PTP and was officiated by Dato’ Mohd Khairi Bin Khairudin, Director of Operation Coordination Section of NADMA.

Through this exercise, bilateral relations between the companies and various Government agencies can be strengthened further, especially in dealing with any incidents in the future.
