Southpoint, a port facility in Port Klang operated by Northport

milestone by setting a new record for the highest monthly cargo handling volume. In May
2024, Southpoint handled a total of 297,337 Metric Tons (MT) of cargo, marking a significant
growth of 59.1% compared to the same month last year. This performance surpasses the
previous record of 289,826 MT set in August 2001.
Tanjung Bruas Port Sdn Bhd (Tanjung Bruas Port), a member of MMC Group, marked a significant milestone with the maiden call of MV Xin
Yi Glass, which set sail for Katuppali Port, India. The vessel docked at Tanjung Bruas
Port carrying a substantial cargo of 630 TEUs of 20-foot Laden Containers with highquality float Glass products from Xinyi Glass Malaysia.

a new milestone by handling a record 1,077,747 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in a single month. This achievement, accomplished without any congestion, reinforces PTP’s position as Malaysia’s busiest and largest transshipment hub. (“RTG”) cranes. The new terminal equipment is the first batch of a total of 23 units of diesel-powered RTGs and 11 units of electrified RTGs or eRTGs purchased by Northport from Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd. (“Mitsui E&S”).

Container Line (“OOCL”) Limited, MV OOCL Japan boasts a capacity of 21,413 TEUs,
setting a new record for Northport by surpassing the previous largest ship to call at its port,
Eugen Maersk, which had a capacity of 11,000 TEUs in 2013.
