On 15 May 2023, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, organised a Hari Raya celebration with 40 special needs residents of Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) of Nusajaya, Gelang Patah.

This year’s Hari Raya annual programme has been designed under the new Corporate Social Responsibility framework, which is aligned with the PTP Sustainability agenda, specifically on building sustainable green and equitable communities by promoting economic accessibility and growth. This programme focuses more on the social and motor skills of special children and gives them the opportunity to display their creativity.

Nearly 20 volunteers from PTP together with parents and teachers took part in this programme where they played mini tele-match and created simple art and crafts activities with the residents. The celebration then continued with a birthday celebration before ending with a Hari Raya picnic.

PTP will continue its efforts by curating special programmes with PDK Nusajaya as part of the Kasih Lestari programme-Community Well-being through collaboration and empowerment activities as an avenue for PTP employees to continuously give back to the community.
