On 7 June 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, achieved a significant milestone in global trade efficiency.

According to the recently published 2023 Container Port Performance Index (CPPI), PTP has risen from sixth place to fifth ranked.

The CPPI, developed by The World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence, is based on the most extensive dataset to date, covering 405 ports worldwide. It includes over 182,000 vessel calls, 238.2 million moves, and approximately 381 million TEUs for the entire calendar year of 2023.

This impressive accomplishment in terminal efficiency has further bolstered PTP’s position to the top spot in the Southeast Asian region.
