PORT OF TANJUNG PELEPAS NAMED MALAYSIA’S BEST IN ADMINISTRATION FOR TRANSSHIPMENT TERMINAL BY MALAYSIAN ANTI-CORRUPTION COMMISSION

GELANG PATAH, 17 October 2023 – Port of Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a joint venture between MMC Group and APM Terminals was named as the best in administration for transshipment terminal by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) during the Integrity, Governance, and Anti-Corruption Convention 2023 (KITA 2023).

Held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on 16 October 2023, the event was officiated by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor. Also present were Chief Commissioner of MACC, Tan Sri Azam Baki and Sabah State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong.

Organized for the first time to encourage companies and organizations to adopt the best governance practices recommended by MACC through its advisory services, the event also aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of MACC’s advisory services in helping companies and organizations improve their governance and prevent corruption.

Commenting on this achievement, PTP Chairman, Tan Sri Che Khalib Mohamad Noh states this latest recognition underscores PTP’s commitment and effort to continuously uphold the highest standards of integrity in all business dealings and foster positive workplace culture that promotes transparency, accountability, and ethical behaviour at all levels.”

To date, 100% of our employees have completed the ABAC training to effectively mitigate risks of breaches in policies.”

To further cultivate good governance, we also implement an ongoing training on the Raid Protocol with the objective of improving employees’ preparedness during raids. The PTP Raid Protocol is closely tied to the governance policies, as it encompasses measures to be implemented as well as guidelines and restrictions in managing regulators during raids.” said Marco.
