On 1 April 2021, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, celebrated its employees by organising Employees Appreciation Day 2020. The event was officiated by Dato’ Syed Mohamad Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port together with Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan, Chief Executive Officer of Penang Port.

The Employees Appreciation Day 2020 was held to celebrate the hard work and dedication of its employees by honouring those who have been contributing to the growth and performance of Penang Port. Retired employees and those who have been serving the Company for over 20 and 30 years were awarded with a token of appreciation for their dedication and loyalty towards Penang Port. The event also commemorated the employees’ children by recognising their achievements in UPSR, PT3, SPM and STPM examinations.

Through this event, Penang Port aimed at building a culture of recognition that encourages high work performance among its employees.
