On 1 December 2023, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, organised a tea talk session titled “Bual Bicara Bersama Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed”, focusing on the theme of ‘Integriti & Rasuah”. The engaging session was led by the Integrity Advisor of the MMC Group, Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, alongside Northport’s CEO, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof. Previously, Tan Sri Abu Kassim served as the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) from 2010 until 2016.

Held at the CBM Hall in Northport, the programme drew the participation of 120 attendees, comprising Northport employees and its business partners.

The programme was organised as part of the Company’s Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) initiatives in conjunction with the International Anti-Corruption Day 2023, celebrated globally on 9 December each year.

The main objective of the programme was to enhance awareness among TeamNorthport and its stakeholders regarding business integrity, while fostering a collective commitment to combat all forms of corruption within the organisation.

Prior to the commencement of the session, an integrity pledge was taken by the participants, symbolising the unwavering commitment of Northport employees and its business partners to uphold a zero-tolerance against any form of bribery and corruption.

It is hoped that the tea talk session not only enhanced the awareness and understanding of integrity issues among the participants but also strengthened their commitment to cultivate an ‘Integrity’ mindset and attitude in alignment with Northport’s Core Values.
