NORTHPORT SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH CLLB
On 1 December 2023, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, and CLLB Sdn. Bhd. (CLLB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering strategic collaboration to enhance the training landscape in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The primary objective of the MoU was to facilitate the sharing of experiences, expertise, technical capabilities, resources and knowledge between both parties.
The signing ceremony was held at the Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel, where the MoU document was signed by Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Northport and Reshma Yousuf, founder of CLLB.
Under this three-year strategic partnership, Northport and CLLB will jointly oversee the planning, execution, provision and delivery of training courses. Northport will further support these initiatives by facilitating and accommodating the training courses, providing CLLB access to its premises and training facilities.
“This partnership with CLLB aligns with Northport’s commitment to advancing industry knowledge and expertise. By leveraging our experiences and resources, we aim to contribute significantly to the development of skilled workers in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. This MoU signifies a joint effort to elevate the quality of training in our field, ultimately benefiting the workers and contributing to the growth of the industry,” said Dato’ Azman.
CLLB, a registered training provider with the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia, specialises in offering short training courses in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Malaysia and the broader region. The organisation is also recognised as an approved training partner for The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, International.
Prior to this, on 5 October 2023, Northport signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Kolej WIT Sdn Bhd to facilitate industrial training, with a particular focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Subsequently, on 14 October 2023, Northport entered into an MoU with Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) to conduct, facilitate and accommodate programmes related to industrial training, human resource development, academic learning and certifications, with a focus on the fields of ports and logistics.
