NORTHPORT RECEIVES HIGHEST AWARD AT APBSP
On 16 November 2023, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), a member of MMC Group, was announced as the recipient of the Anugerah Perdana Penarafan Bintang Sasaran Penting (“APBSP”) 2023 under the Key Point ll category, during the appreciation award ceremony event held at the Leo Moggie Convention Centre, TNB Platinum Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. The Chief Executive Officer of Northport, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, was present to receive the award on behalf of the company. The award was presented by Yang Berhormat Senator Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, Minister of Home Affairs.
The objective of the APBSP award event is to assess and acknowledge the most exemplary protective security governance systems within Malaysia’s critical infrastructure installations. Northport was declared as a Protected Area and Protected Place under the Protected Areas and Protected Places Act 1959 (Act 298) by the Malaysian Government.
On 19 April 2023, the Key Point Auditing Team, which includes representatives from the Malaysia Office of the Chief Government Security Officer (“CGSO”), together with the Royal Malaysian Police, the Malaysian Armed Forces, the Malaysian National Security Council, and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, conducted the APBSP 2023 assessment of Northport.
Following the evaluation by the Key Point Auditing Team, Northport achieved the highest overall score, earning the prestigious Anugerah Perdana in the Key Point ll category.
