On 27 March 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), a member of MMC Group organised a “Town Hall Session with the Chief Executive Officer” to foster stronger bonds between the employees and the Management of Northport. The event was attended in-person by 180 employees from various divisions and departments, while other employees participated virtually via an online platform.

During the session, Northport’s CEO, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof shared the Company’s business performance, achievements and organizational updates with the employees. One of the main highlights of the program was the announcement of employee promotions and upgrades for 2024.

The winners of Northport’s 3R (Reduce-Reuse-Recycle) Competition or known as Ayuh Kitar Semula (“AKS”) 8.0, were also announced during the session. AKS 8.0 successfully collected more than 22 tonnes of recyclable items throughout the campaign. In the Division and Department category, Facilities, Equipment & Maintenance (“FEM”) Division emerged as the overall winner with a total collection of 8.4 tonnes. Five individual winners were also recognized with Dato’ Azman once again emerged as the highest contributor, securing his eighth consecutive win in the individual category with 497 kilograms of recyclables.

The Town Hall Session was an interactive program, providing not only the latest updates but also enabling direct engagement between Northport employees and the Company’s Management team.
