On 21 March 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (“Northport”), a member of MMC Group, presented the Fire and Rescue badges to Northport’s Firefighter personnel in recognition of their completion of mandatory training courses. The ceremony commemorated the achievements of 49 Firefighters who completed the mandatory training courses, including the Venomous Animal Handling Course, Diver Course and Emergency Response Service (“EMRS”) Course.

Northport’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, officiated the event and presented the badges to the participants. The event also featured the promotion of one of the Port Police officers, Insp. Mohd Hafiz Razman from Auxiliary Police Inspector to Auxiliary Police Assistant Superintendent of Police recognizing his commitment to ensuring the security of the terminal.

During the event, the Health, Safety, Security and Environment (“HSSE”) Division also launched their new vehicles, which will enhance the operational functions of safety and security measures at the port terminal. These vehicles include a water tanker, an off-road vehicle, a Sport Utility Vehicle (“SUV”) and an electric motorcycle.
