On 21 March 2023, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, organised a Batam Roadshow in Batam, Indonesia. The event was conducted together with PT Citranusa Kabil Port with aimed at promoting both ports’ facilities and services and establishing connectivity between Batam and Johor.

The event was attended by Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port where he cordially welcomed the participants from Asosiasi Badan Usaha Pelabuhan Indonesia (ABUPI), Asosiasi Logistik dan Forwarder Indonesia (ALFI), Asosiasi Perusahaan Bongkar Muat Indonesia (APBMI), Indonesia National Shipowner Association (INSA) and Koperasi Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM) to the event.

The participants were then provided with a comprehensive presentation by Dinesh Shanker Supramaniam, General Manager of Key Business Account for Container Terminal of Johor Port on the port’s milestones, operational performance and the ongoing development of Johor Port as Malaysia’s Premier Southern Gateway Multi-Purpose Port. Dr Haji Nazry Yahya, Head of JP Skills Centre also shared the latest updates on the training programmes offered by JP Skills Centre to the participants.

The participation of Johor Port in the Batam Roadshow was part of the company’s continuous effort to promote its services and facilities as well as to establish connections and relationships with the key players in the regional port industry.
