On 3 September 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, welcomed the Johor State Customs Director for a strategic working visit aimed at enhancing collaboration and operational efficiency within the Free Zone area. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the port’s facilities, culminating with a rooftop viewing and photography session that offered a panoramic view of the bustling port activities and infrastructure.

The rooftop session provided the Customs Director with a unique vantage point to observe the operations scale and efficiency within the Free Zone area. The session was carried out to also showcase the advanced technology used to ensure smooth and secure trade processes. The experience facilitated in-depth discussions about optimised customs procedures, improved cargo handling processes and possible innovative solutions to further elevate the port’s role as a key logistics and trade hub.

Johor Port remains committed to fostering strong partnerships with its stakeholders, including the Royal Malaysian Customs Department in order to create an efficient and secure trading environment.
