On 8 March 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, partnered with Hard Rock Café Puteri Harbour, Jauhar Psychology and Kensington Green Specialist Centre to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event, titled ‘Women Rock the World!’ focused on promoting female empowerment through mental and physical wellbeing.

The programme offered various activities addressing specific health and safety concerns faced by women. These included the ‘Urban Survival – Personal Safety Course’ to equip participants with practical skills for navigating urban environments and a ‘Women’s Wellness and Mental Health, a face-to-face health talk promoting mental wellbeing and fostering a supportive work environment.

Adding a touch of engagement, Hard Rock Cafe Puteri Harbour presented their interactive ‘Hard Rock Heal’ programme.  Furthermore, Kensington Green Specialist Centre provided free medical check-ups, emphasising the importance of preventive healthcare and offering practical strategies for achieving a balanced lifestyle.

PTP takes great pride in the success of this initiative, which underscores the company’s dedication to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for its female employees. The event not only served as a platform to celebrate the female employees, but also their significant contributions within the industry, local community and beyond, while also advocating for the continued advancement of gender equality.
