Overview
Red Sea Gateway Terminal Company Limited (“RSGT”) is an associate company of MMC Corporation Berhad that operates a container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A fast-rising company that initially started operations in 2009, RSGT is known for being Saudi Arabia’s first Build-Operate-Transfer project, a privately managed container terminal with its own dedicated navigation channel and wide turning basin.
The terminal is often cited as an engine of growth for local and regional economies, providing world-class integrated logistics solutions, port development and operations.
Terminal Expansion
As part of its long-term growth plan, RSGT is looking at undertaking an expansion of its terminal, resulting in an overall increase in the terminal’s handling capacity and in turn, leads to improved bottom-line performance.
The combined annual handling capacity of 20 million TEUs, equity-weighted throughout of over 10 million TEUs, as well as the experience of both RSGT and MMC comfortably places the terminal operations amongst the top container terminal operators in the world.
