On 6 December 2021, MMC Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMC Engineering) and Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP) collaborated on a beach cleaning programme around Tanjung Adang in Gelang Patah, Johor.

Present during the programme were Ir Mohd Sarudin Mohd Aziz, Project Director of MMC Engineering, Arjan Weerstand, Head of Project Integration of PTP, Umar Faruq Jamaluddin, Head of Project Division of PTP and representatives from the Department of Health, Safety and Environment of both companies.

MMC Engineering is currently undertaking the reclamation works for PTP’s expansion programme which is located within the District Park B of the Free Zone Phase 2 area of PTP at Tanjung Adang. This expansion involves the development of approximately 100 acres of existing land infrastructure along the eastern and northern boundaries.

The programme was part of MMC operating companies’ CSR efforts encompassing three pillars, namely, community development, education and environment. The beach cleaning programme aimed at creating awareness of environmental protection and preservation and at the same time fostering stronger relationships between the companies
