On 7 March 2024, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd (PTP), a member of MMC Group, welcomed the delegation from Johor Sustainability Centre (JSC), led by its Chairman, Dato’ Haji Ir. Hasni Mohammad for a familiarisation visit, aimed at establishing a partnership on sustainability initiatives and climate action in Johor.

Through discussions and knowledge sharing held during the visit, both parties explored various avenues for collaboration on crucial sustainability initiatives and climate change adaptation strategies in Johor.

The JSC delegation also gained valuable insights into PTP’s current operations, future development plans and PTP’s noteworthy contributions towards a sustainable port industry and logistics sector.

Concurrently, PTP also strategically leverages the visit to further solidify its sustainability leadership, fostering impactful partnerships and guaranteeing long-term regulatory compliance. This enhances its reputation, attracts environmentally conscious clients and positions PTP for future success in a sustainability-driven market.

Set up under the Johor state Government-linked company, Permodalan Darul Ta’zim, JSC plays a research and advisory role to the Johor government and helps spearhead collaborations with academia and the private sector around green initiatives.
