Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, celebrated the success of the Johor Port Tuisyen Pintar YPM@KKDW Programme which has benefited 100 students around the Pasir Gudang area with an official closing ceremony held recently at the Main Hall of UNIKL Mitec.

As part of its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Johor Port has allocated funds towards the initiative, aimed at empowering local youths through education. The Tuition Programme, organised by Yayasan Pelajaran Mara and the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, has provided invaluable academic support and guidance to students who sat for the 2023 SPM examination.

In addition to the Tuition Programme, Johor Port has also previously extended its support for the Program Celik Al-Quran & Smart Solat which Johor Port had sponsored 20 participants for the programme, which further demonstrates the company’s focus on community development and enrichment.

Zainal Rashid Zakaria, the Fund Development Senior Manager of Yayasan Pelajaran Mara, graced the closing ceremony and delivered the inaugural speech. He was joined by dignitaries from the Education Department of Johor, MARA Johor, UNIKL Mitec and Pasir Gudang District Education Office. Representing Johor Port, Hermee Tahir, Head of Human Resource then concluded the event with an inspiring speech and presentation of certificates.

The successful implementation of these programmes underscores Johor Port’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and communities alike.
