From 25 to 27 July 2024, Northport (Malaysia) Bhd (Northport), a member of MMC Group, participated in the 8^th Selangor International Business Summit 2024 (SIBS 2024). The event, organised by Invest Selangor Berhad and hosted by the State Government of Selangor, took place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The event kicked off with key addresses from Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor and YB Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry who delivered the Officiating Address and the Keynote Address, respectively.

The first series of SIBS 2024 included two events, namely the Selangor Investment and Industrial Park Expo (SPARK) and the Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC). The event featured numerous exhibition booths, conferences, business prospects and gatherings of regional industry professionals and brands. Northport’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof, was featured as one of the speakers in a panel session titled “Seamless Connectivity: ECRL’s Role in Optimising East and West Coast Ports Logistics”.

Northport’s participation in SIBS 2024 demonstrated its ongoing commitment to enhancing its brand presence as one of the major organisations in Selangor by showcasing its capabilities and initiatives to local and international audiences. Northport will also participate in the second series of SIBS 2024, through the Selangor International Halal Convention (SELHAC) spearheaded by the Halal International Selangor (HIS) in October this year.
