On 27 September 2024, Penang Port Sdn Bhd (Penang Port), a member of MMC Group, donated one unit of Ultra-Low-Temperature (ULT) freezer to the Blood Bank of General Hospital Penang. This donation will support the blood bank’s vital activities and ensure the safe storage of blood products for needy patients. The freezer also able to help increase the blood storing capacity for the hospital.  

Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan, Chief Executive Officer of Penang Port and Dr. Goh Hin Kwang, Director of General Hospital Penang, were in attendance to witness the handover ceremony. During the handover, Penang Port also had the opportunity to donate appreciation gifts to blood donors who were at the blood bank. Together with the General Hospital Penang, Penang Port committed to improve healthcare facilities and ensuring that help is always within reach for those in need.
