On 5 December 2022, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, participated in the Pasir Gudang Emergency Mutual Aid (PAGEMA) Mock Drill Programme 2022.

The programme aims to provide training for rescue operations as part of its disaster management to measure the preparedness and readiness of all safety-related personnel in this high-risk industrial area regarding appropriate actions to minimise the impact in the event of an emergency, especially in the Pasir Gudang area.

Also, at a different event, Johor Port’s Security and Safety Department conducted two Fire Drill programmes on 30 November 2022 and 6 December 2022, which aims to familiarise and re-enforce proper evacuation routes and practices in order to ensure that its employees are aware of the safe evacuation procedures and able to evacuate the area in an orderly manner.

Such programmes are in line with Johor Port’s HSE initiative to promote awareness and cultivate a safety culture among its employees in line with Johor Port’s Core Values to always ensure the safety of its employees during day-to-day operations.
