JOHOR BAHRU, 20 October 2023 – Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, marked a significant milestone in its partnership with PETRONAS Chemicals Marketing Labuan (PCML) Ltd by commemorating 100 days of operational success.
Since the commencement of the first leg connectivity from Pengerang to Pasir Gudang, operated by Navegacion Shipping (Johor) Sdn Bhd, Johor Port has handled an outstanding throughput volume of over 10,000 TEUs to date.
Throughout these 100 days, PCML has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to delivering export shipments via the Malaysia Southern Gateway, underscoring the trust placed in Johor Port. The Port’s team consistently met and exceeded expectations in terms of safety, efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Md Derick Basir, Johor Port Chief Executive Officer said, “PCML’s trust reflects our commitment to efficiency and safety, reaffirming Johor Port as the preferred trade and commerce hub in line with our goal to be the region’s most efficient and fully integrated multi-purpose port.”
