On 7 September 2024, Johor Port Berhad (Johor Port), a member of MMC Group, demonstrated its commitment into supporting the community by donating a Wakalah Fund to Sekolah Agama Pontian Besar. This initiative is part of Johor Port’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, aimed at improving educational opportunities and supporting local schools.

The donation was presented at a ceremony attended by Md Derick Basir, Chief Executive Officer of Johor Port who also officiated the school’s Badan Kebajikan 22^nd Annual General Meeting. This dual event highlighted Johor Port’s commitment to fostering educational development and strengthening community relationships.

The contribution, in support of Sekolah Agama Pontian Besar, will be channelled to improve the school’s facilities and learning environment, directly benefitting the students and further reinforces Johor Port’s commitment to education and students’ well-being.

The event was marked by the presentation of a mock cheque, symbolising Johor Port’s support for the school’s ongoing initiatives. This CSR activity underscores Johor Port’s dedication to uplifting the community through education-focused contributions.
